Hachyderm
Hello again all! This is several, related, announcements in one.

== HugOps to Mastodon Social ===

Apologies for the delayed announcement, but after seeing more spam originating from Mastodon Social we've temporarily re-limited them. #HugOps to the Mastodon Social team as they wade through it, you've got this! We'll post another update early next week after we lift the limit over the weekend to see how it's going.

== Sign Ups / New Users ==

Relevantly, for our site sign ups: we're still seeing ... some novel attempts to get around our sign ups, so we're continuing to keep our sign ups limited at this time and hope to be able to re-open sign ups soon.

== How you can help ==

For those who have been curious about how they can help: thank you and you can! We have some cross functional work that would benefit from the attention of both moderation and infrastructure. We've recently scaled infra, and are happy to add more, but importantly we're looking to expand our moderation team and Trusted Reporters*. If either of these interest you, please email us at admin [at] hachyderm.io

== *What is a Trusted Reporter ==

Trusted Reporters are people who are interested in community safety and want to learn more about moderation process to improve their ability to file actionable reports. Trusted Reports are *not* full time moderators and do *not* have escalated privileges, they just learn more about moderation process to empower them to file reports that are quickly actionable by including the information we need.

While we use Trusted Reporters to improve community safety on Hachyderm, anyone is welcome to request to become one! We believe in knowledge share and cross community support. :hachyderm: :logo_mastodon: ❤️

Cheers!
