About the new Magic Mouse announced today (as part of the new iMac announcement):
- The mouse matches the color of your iMac. Purple iMac, purple mouse. I really like this a lot.
- the mouse features a USB-C port, as expected. And also as expected, I guess, the port is on the bottom. I can’t decide if I love this or really hate it. But this is Apple being committed to the bit.
@davemark I don’t use my iMac all that often so I really don’t like the bottom charging. Because I use it rarely, it’s often not charged when I do need to use it, so that just delays things 5-10 minutes. It’s too bad that didn’t redesign it to have a scoop in the front that allowed a USB-C port, because then you could charge and use it.
Some people say leaving it plugged in would ruin the battery, but I have a mini with a trackpad always plugged in and it’s fine.
