Are there any Fediverse clients available that support community-driven image alternatives?

For instance, consider a Mastodon post featuring an image that lacks an alternative description. In this case, the user interface (including the version rendered by assistive technologies) identifies proposals in the comment and prompts the reader to browse through them.

As another example, if you edit a post you previously made that did not have an alternative, the user interface can suggest utilizing alternatives that other users have proposed in the comments.

Would this approach make sense?
