@colin_rafferty I love Emacs, but every time I try to turn it into my development environment, there's always one or two things that an IDE does out of the box. It's really frustrating, because I use Emacs all the time to edit text, JSON, XML, or what have you.
@doomchild when I’m writing something with an unfamiliar API, I’ll use the preferred IDE for the API, or widgets. But then still use emacs for the editing bits. And set everything to reload from disk on change.
Or even during regular editing in emacs, watch the IDE’s warnings and errors and fix them on the fly.
@colin_rafferty I need to make another attempt. Omnisharp has improved since the last time I tried.
