@bipartisan@mastodon.social @jbhughes I'm strongly in favor of abolishing all tax exempt status for all orgs. It lets the wealthy buy influence and cheat the public out of tax revenue at the same time. And it muzzles left orgs that constantly worry about doing something too political that would compromise their status, while right orgs flaunt the law and use tax exempt megachurches as campaign weapons.

Think more like MSF or your local volunteer fire department.

Much better would be publicly funding them but taxing normally.
