Three big, long-running branches. All claim to be ready to merge. I'm de facto main QA as well as dev lead (somehow--it's a thing)

Branch 1: Seems fine, but the dev is on paternal leave. Why risk breakage while he's gone?

Branch 2: Critically needed, but some basic functionality is broken. Cannot merge.

Branch 3 (my own): I think it's ready, but no one else has ever run it.

Finally today someone else is looking. Maybe merge to trunk today!
