I love the subtle pushback against racism and stereotyping that happens in Mark Rober videos. I wish more SF tech people were a little more like him. ♥️👍🏿

Plus, this Zipline drone delivery is pretty cool. I'm still sad that over the past 10 years, we put so much more time + effort + resources into trying to put monkey jpegs into people's 401ks, than into technology like this.

@mekkaokereke I wish he would push back on toxic masculinity a bit more. For me he's often too: "I'm so cool. I'm the best uncle. I have the biggest guns and the biggest explosions. I catch the bad guys." I'm like: "Dude, 🙄."

When it comes to science and engineering communication, I prefer Steve Mould and the guy from Technical Engineering. They are way less annoying to watch and learn from for me as a woman.

@levampyre @mekkaokereke I like Sam from Look mom no computer. He shows that your will, inspiration, and curiosity means so much.

His focus is mostly on musical things and mostly on old things, but he’s real positive and has that critical “let’s figure it out” spirit.

Him dismantling, moving, and rebuilding an organ has been really cool. It’s cool seeing how things work.

(He’s also the only YouTube musician I can’t figure out how he controls his instrument. It’s pure mad scientist!).

@deirdresm @breadbin @mekkaokereke Oh yeah, Wintergatan is who I associate with weird musical genius. This marble organ is crazy (in a good way).
