@dma I love cool dashboards! This one reminds me of the old visual activity from digg back around 2008. Can't find a link to an example right now. Did you ever see that one?
@herchenroder no, i don't think i did. i'm a sucker for a good bit of data viz, but failing that i'll settle for brightly-coloured lines wiggling up and down.
@dma Me too. Not sure why but I've always loved the blinking lights on hard drives, and graphs and charts that indicate cool stuff.
I did a little more searching and found it was called "Digg Labs". They had some really sweet real-time visualizations. Good examples here:

Digg Labs is dead now since the original Digg is gone (I believe Digg was purchased and rebranded).
