Dune got it wrong: cynicism, not fear, is the true mind-killer.
At least fear can motivate you to do something. Even if it's the wrong thing, you might learn from it.
Cynicism is the anti-motivator. It says hope is a lie, trying is useless. It says good isn't worth looking for.
I'm revamping "Good Tech Things" to be a source of anti-cynicism in tech: a place to celebrate the joyful, helpful, and just plain fun things people are building with technology.

@forrestbrazeal Thank you for writing this. It's so, so easy for me to indulge in cynicism, and it's not good for me.
What I instead want to do: Get more into personal web development, start doing fun things with my website, indie web stuff.
