I'm trying to come up with a title for an article, and I joked about being too jaded to write right now, so I just wanted to demonstrate how jaded I'm feeling by sharing my article title options I'm considering:

- Why web design sucks
- Shitty engineer has thoughts and opinions about design
- Why your org sucks at web design
- Why we all suck at design
- How the men folk ruined web design

k thanks, lmk

can't believe most of you are urging me to choose violence, tbh

@hbuchel I like the last option for the extra rage bait potential. :)

@hbuchel Based off of these titles, I'm super looking forward to reading this article 🤓

@hbuchel Whatever title you pick I am definitely reading this article

@hbuchel I'd suggest number 4 - no finger pointing (3, 5), no undeserved self-deprecation (2 - I don't imagine you're a shitty engineer, at least) and doesn't tell people that their entire field is bad (1, can be depressing if you're in that field; as a C++ programmer, I get this a lot...).

Depending on the content of the article, you might be able to make the title bitingly sarcastic - "The decline of web design since the deprecation of <marquee>" :)

@hbuchel I would subscribe to this mailing list.

Especially if there was signup bonus content entitled:

“The lengths grown men will go to avoid writing CSS”

@hbuchel Just saw this. I vote for any of #1, #4, or #5.

@hbuchel Honestly? I would go with the last example. That's technically what happened the last years.

@hbuchel without knowing the content, the last one is probably the most precise. Numbers 3 and 4 Sound good as well 😁

(Sorry if that wasn't intended as a poll)

@hbuchel Pour your heart out and then… ChatGPT, rewrite this in a cheery upbeat rosy-snuggly tone.

@hbuchel I'm reading it right now and I think the fifth title would have been the best :blobcatgiggle:
