@griotspeak Is this library available? It sounds fascinating and fun!
@inthehands I have always planned to open source it. (if nothing else, when I retire or die.) Recently, I was chatting with Aurelius about making it work with AudioKit and that would probably be a good time if it happens.
I wanted to make it available closed source for a while to fund further development of it but that just seems hard to successfully do.
In short, not yet.
@griotspeak Well, I don’t know what I’d do with it tbh, but if you ever need a redhead to play with it…!
@inthehands the biggest thing holding me back *now* is that I have no confidence in my ability to manage any amount of community that might crop up. I have grown accustomed to doing whatever I want with these libraries for better and for worse. I know that I *could* just say “do with it what you will” but… I honestly feel like I should still manage to leverage the literal decade of work for *some* clear external benefit. I’m working on getting over that, though.
@griotspeak I hear that. In a similar dilemma about the static site generator I’m throwing together for my personal site revamp, which (1) is on a trajectory to be something that could be genuinely useful to a few people, and (2) I have no interest in spending serious time actively supporting.
I miss the ethos of shareware of old: “I built this, try it for fun with no expectation of support, I’m just sharing it for the hell of it”
