Keep in mind that because they have nothing to lose from wrecking everyone and everything to lose if they don't try, this election — and the whole fight against fascism — is an asymmetric battle. We have to win this election •three times• over:
1. At the ballot box
2. In the courts
3. On the streets
…and that’s just the election. #uspol

This is not meant to induce doom or despair. I am ardently, ferociously anti-despair. Despair is surrender. We need to do the opposite of surrender.
We are the opposite of doomed: we are in a moment of possibility. We really can do this. And to do it, we need to be real about the scope and nature of the work ahead.
@inthehands It feels like this has been metastasizing for a long time, that we (as a country) haven't been eternal-vigilancing hard enough for decades, possibly for my entire life, so now we have to go twice as hard for a long-ass time to make up that ground.
@inthehands in France, even the anarchist went voting to avoid an extrem right government that was seen "as sure as done"
Hope is a moving verb.
