jq is the new sed

Everyone uses it
Nobody can remember the syntax
You could probably write an arkanoid with it, but you'd rather not know how

@raphink @intrbiz I use it quite frequently, which is why I'm annoyed that it has all the wrong defaults

WHO USES WHITESPACE DELIMITERS ANY MORE!? WHO?

Then again, the same could be said for sed. I use perl -pe instead just to use a regex dialect that makes sense.
