If you're a software engineer and who believes in abolition and community alternatives to policing, Raheem.org is hiring a senior engineer to work on their mobile app to support community crisis response teams (CCRT):

Please boost and share!
FYI, I'm on the selection committee (but not part of the org) and have been volunteering time with their engineering lead to talk about their app (both from an engineering perspective and from experience with community organizing). Please reach out if you have questions!
@jenmei Dang, for the first time I wish I had more knowledge in the Javascript sphere...
@jenmei too bad they want a local dev. I would have liked to work remotely.
@oventi It's a remote job – there's a remote label at the top. But I can see how it might be confusing that they show the location of the org (Oakland, CA) on the posting under the remote label though. I'll give that feedback to them.
@jenmei thanks, this also throws me off
"Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future."
Maybe it is a local (country wide) where you can work remotely.
@oventi Ah, good point, yeah it's local to the US but remote within it. They just updated the posting to remove the city but leave the country.
