Pretty disappointed with the available #subsonic clients (#navidrome is the backend) for iOS out there.
Just seems like I can't get the "just right" experience out of #Amperfy (missing Chrome cast), play:Sub (chome cast support is flaky), or #substeamer (no Carplay support).
Of the options, #Amperfy is open source but I'm not familiar enough with the apple ecosystem to get it running in a newer XCode to try at adding carplay support.
Considering #syncthing and #VLC at this point.
I should also say that none of them are inherently bad. In fact, all of the apps are great! They’re just not the exact fit and I can’t figure out how to make them better. #selfhosting #selfhost #selfhosted #navidrome #funkwhale #subsonic
