Who knows what will happen next, but this scene beneath the peach trees is so sweet
@Sollenbum As I said to a friend today - if it has a bad ending imma gonna eat a frog.
Preferably with salted egg.
@liztai That’s so funny
School demands are beginning to turn up after the holiday and I’m enjoying sone leisure reading, too. Besides “Guess Who I Am” looks fine…
@liztai @Sollenbum
Frog porridge is a #Singapore speciality. Can't say that I'd recommend it but it's edible.
@EllenInEdmonton @Sollenbum it is more a Chinese thing. I have taken frog, btw. Tastes like chicken, which is why we call frogs "water chicken" hehe
@liztai @Sollenbum
I suspected that you'd eaten it. It's bonier and more rubbery than chicken, IMHO. I'd much prefer chicken feet if I'm going to be wrestling with little bony things.
@EllenInEdmonton Believe it or not I was tricked into eating it. I was given a lesson about "farm to table" when I visited an aunt's home and I saw her pet frogs in a bucket and thought they were cute. When I drank the soup later I wondered why the chicken had such weird legs.
I did not make the connection until weeks later.
Small mercies
@liztai @EllenInEdmonton Well, well … We live and learn
