@lisseuse @bookstardust I think the weirdest thing is that China viewers seem divided, a lot of them saying it's not good and S1 is better. I find s2 even more addictive while S1 was slower
@liztai @lisseuse @bookstardust I just saw on Marcus Here that it had an opening rating of only 7.0 - that did surprise me a bit. I'm only on episode 11 but it seems to me it deserves better than that.
@liztai@hachyderm.io@avradi @lisseuse @bookstardust me too. I read the Douban reviews and some of the criticisms don't really feel fair or grounded. They basically want it to be the same as S1 and it can't be. It's literally a different show due to Fan Xian's growth and it's in the middle arc of the novel 
@liztai @avradi @lisseuse the rating doesn't really matter for now. We need to like it after all. And the rating can only be taken seriously three months after airing tbh. When all people finished and we had some time to think and order our thoughts and the impact of the whole drama.
Joy of Life2 was overboarded with expectations it probably can never fullfil, hence people are dissatisfied, although it's their expectations.
