Most of my life I didn't know other trans people or call myself trans. I had no allies, no language, no knowledge of other trans experiences.
I was ostracized as weird, a nerd, a pervert, gay, too boy for the girls, too girl for the boys.
I became a one woman resistance movement. An outsider who can't trust anyone. It's a difficult thing to unlearn.
The weirdest part is that the more I get to know other trans women I realize how common, almost stereotypical, my trans experience is.
@lulu Your so right it's a journey we all share its sad that's the way it seems to go but wonderful seeing people who have been on it thriving
@KaraKing It's very sad.
I think it's useful for us to understand our stray cat mentality so we can know how to connect with each other better around all of the defense mechanisms.
(Also, you are very cute.)
@lulu it's something I'm constantly working on and thank you so much you'll make me blush!
( Your very cute too )
@lulu The Patriarchy is big into "normalcy". It believes that the society comprises of "normal people" and a "very small number" of "weirdoes". And in order to prevent the "weirdoes" from learning how common we are, it isolates us, so everybody would think that, like Tiggers, they're the only one.
@lulu I can relate too. I don't like those parts of memory
@project1enigma should I have used a cw?
@lulu No it's ok. Definitely not requiring cn for most of the personal experience/marginalized group experience things. It's just some dysphoria...
@lulu Thanks for asking!
@project1enigma I'm sorry, dear.
@lulu Thanks. It's just stam. Story of my life. Just a bit less than usual compartmentalized...
