#Fedora Linux 41 will officially release next Tuesday (October 29).
Congratulations and thank you, Fedora community members, upstream projects, and *gestures around* everyone who puts so much work into building software in communities
This is our internal "optimistic" target date, which is two weeks ahead of our for-the-public date. So, we're early! Of course, as an open project, anyone can see the whole schedule with all milestone dates... but I still count it as a win!
@mattdm Really looking forward to the GA release. I've been running the beta on my Surface Pro 3 as a dev-test machine for Python web apps and stuff. Outside of the little hiccup from an RPM Fusion package, it's been stable and as snappy as 10 year old hardware can be
@mattdm Shout out to the truly heroic efforts this week to make that deadline happen!
@mattdm Will the 1.4 ISO be the same as the stable release?
@mattdm Prepare the mirrors, the release cometh!
*Double checks the stats box can make pretty graphs*
All set, bring it on!
@mattdm
Oooo, I cut my teeth on Fedora... last week...
@mattdm
Congrats, though I fear the F39 EOL date because that was the last release I could make the aging Brother DCP-L2500D work in.
Set up a little system with Alma Linux as a print server, and don't worry about it for another five years....
