#Fediverse apps need a “subscribe to thread” functionality. There are so many interesting threads and questions that I see that I would like to see the future responses to.
@matzipan That's what I use the bookmark feature for. I'll bookmark a post and after a day or 2 go back to it to see the conversation around it.
@aweech this relies on saving mental space for remembering and checking this. A bit too much for me.

@matzipan Most of the Fediverse can do this (e.g. with #Sharkey #Friendica). You can follow or mute conversations. Only with Mastodon the function is not available.
Shalien @matzipan thread doesn't exist a federation level but you can subscribe to keyword which is the closer thing

@matzipan What do you mean "Fediverse apps" need to do it? Almost all federated ActivityPub-compatible software has such features.
@lianna it seems some people are suggesting mastodon is the only platform which does not support this feature.
