tried to tweet a link to my mastodon instance and got this error
they're just in there like
if (mastodon_link)
throw(random(ERROR_MESSAGES))
@molly0xfff I noticed a lot of errors unrelated to Mastodon today though. So
if true
throw(random(ERROR_MESSAGES))
may also be the case
@molly0xfff I wonder if it’s just a regex that says “if two @ are found, flag as malware.”
Imagine the twitter engineer who signed up to be hardcore but is now refreshing the list of mastodon instances every five minutes to add to a block list.
@molly0xfff I can't login to my twitter because I had my mastodon link there before all this happened. It just endlessly spools and doesn't throw an error. My other account (work) works just fine
@linkeddev @molly0xfff Mine is fine but I selfhost my instance, so unless twitter resolves my URL to check if it's mastodon it'll probably pass the checks
@fuomag9 @molly0xfff haha yeah. It was my old mastodon.social link, if I used my new handle I doubt it'd be flagged, but I uh, can't change it now
@molly0xfff This is absolutely amazing, lol. Their error logs must be absolute gibberish by now.
@molly0xfff Some have generated QR code that leads to mastodon and pinned it to their profile, so that method might still work.
@molly0xfff I got the same error earlier today, seems they aren't totally random, but still pretty much useless.
@molly0xfff It's okay to stop tweeting now. :)
@molly0xfff I've been getting alerts that mastodon links are marked as malware and it disallows the post
@molly0xfff Oh, yeah. I just logged on to try this out, and oh-howdy... it doesn't work!
@molly0xfff Even our social.coop wiki subdomain (no Masto code to be found) is getting that. Kinda-sorta impressive!
