Today’s Shopify irritation: I send stickers with a plain old $0.73 stamp, but my art prints require more expensive shipping if I want to ensure they don’t get creased in transit.
If someone orders a print AND stickers, there is no way to tell Shopify that I will combine them into the same package unless I pay for the $300/month plan. Surely this is a fairly basic scenario?
(The basic Shopify plan is $30/month btw, so this is a huge difference)
@molly0xfff Do you mean in terms of the shipping price shown for customer at checkout? Or when you are ready to buy a shipping label?
@jerome the former
@molly0xfff One thing you could do is use Shipping Profile, and put the sticker as $0 shipping. Then the art print as $10 shipping (whatever the cost is). If someone orders both, they still pay $10 and you put them together in the box.
@jerome problem there is if someone orders just stickers, i eat the cost of stamps
@molly0xfff yeah, its kind of assumed that you would bundle up the $1 within your product price. You are lucky here as it is just $1, instead of like a $5 product vs $10
Shopify is indeed not super flexible with that kind of stuff.
