@molly0xfff Maybe we need a different business model entirely for press orgs, something that keeps food on the table and a label ( and QA) on the product, but doesn't have a centralized financial or legal target, maybe something akin to a franchise.

BBC and the rest are better to write critical content from now as things will get so crazy anyway that Trump will have to make use of a department to just write the news themselves after it will be impossible to find any part of reality in them ( most likely by AI for „efficiency“ ).
AI enchanted fascism where the propaganda is written by it, why any news bother remaining afloat ? Just act on what you are meant to be doing, criticising, educating the public, sharing experience, and let the cast of „The real politician of D.C“ just act on their roles.
