@molly0xfff I wish I weren't such a slow reader. I SO love the idea of public libraries, but putting a due date on when I finish a book is a recipe for disaster.
My tiny brain can't handle the pressure and the books lose some of their value.
It's a shame too because Somerville's public library is pretty great and I couldn't be more supportive of it existing as a public resource!

Yeah, I have a few ebooks I've borrowed a half dozen times because the loan is too short to read very much of it, and eBook loans just end without me actually returning the book.
I mostly stopped borrowing paper books because the library gets antsy when it's a month or two overdue. "We have to invoice you", "final overdue notice", "we're sending some guys", you know the drill, I'm sure.

I only ever had exactly ONE crazy overdue library book, because I misplaced it. I ended up admitting this and paying them the price of the book, which seemed fair. I ended up finding the book years later, which of course like a loon I gave away when we were downsizing for a move. It was this title I'm still rather fond of :)
OT but I really enjoyed your interview on Majority Report. I kept rewinding to catch every detail.
I don't know where you find the time to learn all these things but we really need it now, thanks!
