@binder @Edent I never had to read a book or take a class to learn how to open a Pull Request. I just did it.

I'd rather spend my time learning about the programming itself than learning how exactly to configure a mail client in a way that will not make the maintainers sneer at me for sending the wrong bit of metadata.
