It's blown my mind since Reagan (I was in high school and college) that anybody falls for that privatization crap. Privatization just means someone will try to extract profits from whatever it is. Given the same resources, the same constraints, and the same desired outputs/services, how is extracting profits going to help? Why is extracting profits going to help? Really, WHOM* is extracting profits going to help?
*I originally posted "WHO," which is not correct and a bit confusing. Using"whom" is especially important because of the sentence order.
So, if you don't mind dropping some addresses from delivery in the US, just let the USPS not deliver everywhere. Or if they don't have to carry letters? Fine. But to pretend that private enterprise has some magic ability to do things that the government can't is class D, low-grade bullshit.

which even sounds like a disorder.
Without NPM, the private company cannot compete with a public body, because as long as it is autonomous and integrated with regulations and taxing, it can be super effective.
Now look what happens when we introduce NPM. Now the tax milkshake gets drunken all up, and that's wasteful. So long public bodies.
