I just switched instances, so here is my #introduction:
I'm Paul and I live just outside of Minneapolis, MN.
I'm a maker who is into #podcasting and programming with #Python and #CircuitPython - there's just something about interacting with hardware that I love.
I love #music: I have a large #vinyl record collection and built silversaucer.com to interact with my record collection.
Other interests include retro gaming, building an arcade cabinet, reading, and cooking.
@prcutler Was it easy to switch, i just made a switch and i am totally clueless.
@mangat I found it easy. I made sure to export my follower list first, then created the new instance account. Then on the old instance I created the alias, updated the new instance and it just worked (for me).
@prcutler will follow the steps, I thought as soon as i come over to a new instance my older one changes to the new one, just noticed that wasn’t the case.
@mangat Nope, you have to manually point them at each other. Don't forget you'll lose all your old posts, too.
