Photoblog of my trip to another state park today, including some audio recordings of the reverb on the “Devil's Bathtub,” and of an interesting bird call

I keep saying I should "I am Sitting in a Room" one of the canyons around here, but I've never wanted to actually carry the amount of audio gear I'd need to do that
@nkahrs.bsky.social honestly, I feel like I could accomplish that with a portable Bluetooth speaker and my phone if I were okay with it being a little bit low quality. I might have to try bringing a speaker sometime
Do you have PD or the like on your phone?
@nkahrs.bsky.social I was just thinking of using this voice recorder (https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.fossify.voicerecorder/) to do it manually — hadn't even thought of doing it with Pd.
It looks like PdDroid Party (https://f-droid.org/packages/cx.mccormick.pddroidparty/) and that MobMuPlat that Logan was using (https://danieliglesia.com/mobmuplat/) are available for Android, so that could be fun.
@nkahrs.bsky.social could also be fun to poke around and continue where these people left off with SuperCollider: https://scsynth.org/t/my-attempt-to-build-supercollider-on-termux-android/1297/6
The issue is that I don't think most voice recorders support simultaneous playback and recording?
@nkahrs.bsky.social I hadn't considered that but true! I just tried it on this one and it seems to work fine though
