@skinnylatte
Do you get deliveries from Weee? They have a large catalog of items (and they're not Amazon, thankfully).

@skinnylatte yep, my wife bought this kind of ramen awhile ago and I still remember how it was better than the kinds we usually get. She just told me she found it at Walmart, of all places.

@skinnylatte Since we all have ramen on the brain now... 😅

I've noted down your other best-instant-ramen recommendations (and am going to order some) but... as someone else mentioned, this particular one is REALLY high salt. I'm not on any special diet but when I eat really-high-salt items I'm thirsty for a day and it's just really unpleasant. Do you use the whole packet?

@skinnylatte I've actually been doing my own ramen lately... toss the flavor packet, just do garlic, ginger, sesame oil, veggies, veg broth, miso paste, sambal, etc. It's actually pretty good, if I say so myself 😆

...but sometime the seasoning packets hit the spot! I find Indo Mie isn't too salty, and it takes me back to my childhood (although I'd like to experiment with egg substitutes, I miss the egg in it. I'm not vegan but close)

(but maybe for connoisseurs Indo Mie is looked down on...)

@constantorbit Indomie is good!

The thing with any tonkotsu style ramen is the salt is just going to be through the roof. Look for shoyu ramens instead

I like Sapporo ramen. I like the flavor and texture of the noodles. I haven't used a flavor packet in 40 years. I make my own broth using a Costco low sodium chicken stock. You can add whatever additions you want. I understand that the Sapporo brand actually reflects the distinctive style of miso based broth used in the city of Sapporo. But the packets were too salty and I can make an instant miso soup and simmer the noodles in it, if I truly want a quick "instant" bowl of Sapporo-style ramen. Sapporo packets are usually more expensive, so I buy them by the case from a Korean grocery, always a discounted deal. The noodles themselves are delicious. Been eating them for decades. Best wishes, good eating!
