I am all for fusion cuisines done well, but most fusion Asian food in California looks like it was created by an 8 year old Asian child ($38)
There’s a very highly rated restaurant in SF that made me really angry because their signature dish was a ‘lo mein carbonara’ and it tasted worse than something I would have made as a teenager. The chef with the man bun then rang a bell and got everyone to watch him.. shave ice, for dessert, because it was so hip ($30)
