One nice thing about getting my veggies mostly from the farmers market is you get lots of things not easily found in stores (whole turmeric from the southeast Asian farmer, fresh curry leaves etc), but you also get the tops on for things like carrots and beets. I really enjoy the ‘pesto’ I make with carrot tops and I’ve just found that I prefer eating beet greens to kale. It’s just so good.

@skinnylatte lemon juice? Huh.
If you ever post a rough recipe, please tag me. I grow my own carrots, so I have plenty of fresh tops.
@fuzzychef yeah I wouldn’t do lemon juice in a basil one but I add a little bit for carrot. It’s pretty awful if you do it just subbing out the basil for carrot tops. I’ll send something
