Now that LA is on fire, my plans for my parents’ itinerary on the west coast has fallen flat.
Can someone give me ideas on a 2-3 city thing that does not involve renting a car? They don’t want to drive on ‘the wrong side’ and I.. don’t want to drive.
Happy to consider one Amtrak trip in a roomette, and one or two flights.
Assume San Francisco is the start and end, but there’s Monterey of course, which also means we can fly out of San Jose.
@skinnylatte Portland food carts? I find getting around that city is a breeze
@RobotDiver yeah it’s high on my list, worried it’s too cold for them (in 2 weeks), but maybe that’s ok

FWIW, they're doing lots of Lunar New Year stuff in 2 weeks.
