my problem with monterey vs pnw polaroids is the complete opposite. in the pnw last month every photo was underexposed and green (polaroids go green when it's cold / underexposed)
and here in monterey i can't get a single photo that isn't blaringly hot and sunny and warm haha
@skinnylatte colors are looking good! Ha ha that is why I am shooting B&W while I am here in Portland!
@skinnylatte in the Olden Days we’d place the Polaroids in our armpits to warm up the chemistry while they developed. It looked funny but it worked!
@skinnylatte It's interesting how the colouring makes them immediately look vintage.
@skinnylatte the crab bike rack is awesome.
@skinnylatte I wonder how many drunk people impaled themselves on that crab over the years.
@skinnylatte it always surprises me how much film photography generally, but also specifically Polaroid photography, makes things feel familiar. It’s like a window into how things used to be, but today.
@josh0 yeah, and the kodak gold colors on film that remind me of vacations
@skinnylatte I wonder how younger generations perceive it, but I’m not sure it would even be possible to understand each others perspectives. And I wonder if it’s the same sort of divide as trying to understand how my parents grew up with b&w photography.
