Lazyweb, is there any decent DC-DC UPS (no inverter) with USB PD outputs up to at least 20V & 65W profile?
@dalias The usual term for these is USB power bank, and yes there are power banks that meet those specs and more: https://www.anker.com/products/a1340-250w-power-bank?variant=43739694465174
@unlambda Power banks have lots of problems like often not supporting passthru or renegotiating and power cycling your device every time input power status changes. That's why I specifically said uninterruptible.
@dalias Hmm, fair enough, I guess I usually use them for either extending the range of things that already have batteries, or things that I don't really care if they power cycle. I have used my power banks on passthrough power before without noticing any issues, but as mentioned it was nothing critical.
@unlambda I need it for modem/router, which has no battery.
@unlambda And the fucking ISP provided thing uses USB C in but won't accept anything that doesn't give 20V, so none of my existing banks will power it. If it were normal barrel I'd just wire in a boost from 12V or buck from 24V, but it needs negotiation.
@dalias OK, after digging around a bit to verify that things are properly uninterruptible and support passthrough, I found https://voltaicsystems.com/v88/
A bit big and not cheap, but it looks like it meets all your requirements (assuming 45W is OK; you said 65W in your original but said 45W is OK in another comment). They have smaller/cheaper ones but that don't support USB-C PD or not up to 20V.
