Weird, my Safari iCloud tabs started syncing again!
I also tried Orion for a bit as my default browser, it's solid but I think actually uses quite a bit more battery on both macOS and iOS (could be wrong). I do also miss the 1Password extension on iOS even if iOS AutoFill still works.
I‘m actually considering going back to @1password …
I need something which
- works seamlessly across devices and operating systems
- can hold more secrets than just username and passwords
- supports sharing with family
- will still work for my family without me, in case something happens
- looks trustworthy to me
@mredig You may want to consider something less subscription prone, cross-platform and #opensource. Nice (however not-necessarily free) clients are #Keepassium or #Keepassxc, and you can keep sensitive data within your own cloud.
IMHO, #1Password began to be painful after version 7.
After some initial resistance, I tried 1Password 8 for a few months and...
I was right to avoid it for so long. It's garbage.
1P7 would occasionally have trouble filling out web forms, but 1P8 took that as a challenge. The -| shortcut to fill out webforms was nice... But in terms of efficiency, it was a backup plan at best.
I've deleted 1P8 and reinstalled 1P7. We'll see how this goes. Am I just reminiscing over rose tinted memories?

Since I am on an IT Security server now, I thought I'd post this just to depress the younger folks. Roll on #UBI !

One thing I'm mildly concerned about with Bazzite is having "all" apps as Flatpaks, specifically around interop with each other and the OS.
Generally these work fine. I've got a Flatpak Vivaldi on my Tumbleweed system and it doesn't integrate with the OS' fingerprint scanner to unlock 1Password, so I have to password unlock it frequently.

Yo #1Password folks: I’m looking for a way to restrict some items from being accessible on my gaming PC (Windows 11). Sounds like a Vault would work for this, but
Since I have a Family plan, the only ways I can find to restrict a Vault from a specific device is to either
A) Create a new user on my Family account for my PC and remove Vaults from it, or
B) Upgrade to a Business plan
Am I reading this right, or did I miss something?

By the way... are someone using 1Password with ansible? Do I need this self-hosted controll server in any case?
@mo8it Does it work with #1Password? Especially the integration with the desktop app on macOS? That’s what stopped me from using #LibreWolf
#LibreWolf is nice and all but the 1Password addon seems to work differently than in #Firefox. Whenever I launch LibreWolf I need to enter the 1Password master password for every account. I did create the symlink as suggested but that didn’t help.
