M. Hamzah Khan
3D printed a new gear for my robot vacuum cleaner. The manufacturer only sells the whole gearbox+motor together which is £30. I only needed the one gear.

This gear has broken twice before already, it's a bit too easy to break. I don't want to spend another £30 to replace it.

The 3D printed version js a lot louder than the original, I'm guess due to tolerances being a bit off, but hopefully it'll be OK for a little while.

#3dprinting

It has an LDO motor which can get pretty hot (one source says that it can heat up to 180c).

I’m struggling to think the best way to make sure the mount doesn’t melt. Stepper heat sink?
