Just finished "South Wind Knows" with Cheng Yi and Zhang Yuxi 🌸 They were lovely as the main couple but the drama as a whole was very uneven. The second couple truly tried my patience but slowly improved. The whole incident in country M felt contrived and the mother was out of her mind but realized her mistakes in the end. So I used the fastforward button a lot! Nevertheless, the chemistry between the main leads was sweet.

I've long resigned to "finger fu" in where they twirl & wave their fingers about and things sparkle in the air (ie ). But has set a new bar for action scenes: Acrobatic, dance-like moves of old shows, which I thought had long disappeared. I'm also quite impressed did most of the movements himself.
This is a 4.5/5 star show. Totally the best I've seen in a long time.

Have begun watching the Mysterious Lotus Casebook 🌸 Don't usually watch detective dramas, but decided to give this one a try because of Cheng Yi. Have watched 10 episodes and the bickering between Cheng Yi, Joseph Zeng and Aero Xiao is great fun. The drama has an overarching plotline but it proceeds in smaller detective stories that finish along the way.
