James M Branum - יעקב מתתיהו ☮<p>I will readily admit that I'm becoming a <a href="https://c.im/tags/DrBronners" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DrBronners</span></a> superfan, especially when I read their blog posts, including this powerful one on the recent <a href="https://c.im/tags/TransDayOfVisibility" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TransDayOfVisibility</span></a> that provides an excellent list of organizations that they are supporting financially this year that advocate for true trans inclusion and acceptance.</p><p><a href="https://info.drbronner.com/all-one-blog/2025/03/trans-day-visibility-2025/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">info.drbronner.com/all-one-blo</span><span class="invisible">g/2025/03/trans-day-visibility-2025/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://c.im/tags/LGBTQ" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LGBTQ</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/Transgender" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Transgender</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/TransRightsAreHumanRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TransRightsAreHumanRights</span></a></p>
James M Branum - יעקב מתתיהו ☮<p><a href="https://www.allone.report/2024" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">allone.report/2024</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p>I've been a long-time fan of Dr. Bronner's soap, but reading their latest annual "All-One" report has definitely solidified those feelings. Here are a few things worth noting (most of these facts are pulled from the report, but some are from other sources):</p><p>1. They buy 90% of the olive oil (used as an ingredient in many of their products) from Palestinian farmers in the <a href="https://c.im/tags/WestBank" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WestBank</span></a>.</p><p>2. They use 100% renewable generated power in their production facilities.</p><p>3. They are transitioning away from plastic refill bottles and instead using wax-paper cartons. (with a much lower environmental footprint).</p><p>4. They gave a lot of money to some good causes --about 2% of their REVENUE (not profits).</p><p>5. They are major customers of many, many <a href="https://c.im/tags/organic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>organic</span></a> farmers in the US and around the world.</p><p>6. The company is unapologetic about supporting <a href="https://c.im/tags/DEI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DEI</span></a> Principles.</p><p>7. Their highest-paid executive is paid around 5 times what their lowest-paid full-time, fully vested employee is paid --- which means the CEO makes a little over $200k a year. (most companies pay their CEO's hundreds of times what the rank and file are paid)</p><p>8. The company played a big role in supporting the growth of the industrial <a href="https://c.im/tags/hemp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hemp</span></a> industry (decades before it hit the mainstream), when it switched to using hemp oil in place of the ubiquitous "caramel color" in its products. </p><p>9. The company still shares the <a href="https://c.im/tags/Jewish" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Jewish</span></a> / <a href="https://c.im/tags/Univeralistic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Univeralistic</span></a> teachings of the original Dr. Bronner on its labels, who started his soap company as a way to share his teachings about the importance of love, tolerance and <a href="https://c.im/tags/peace" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>peace</span></a>.</p><p>10. The products have so many uses.</p><p><a href="https://c.im/tags/DrBronners" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DrBronners</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/DrBronner" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DrBronner</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/Soap" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Soap</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/ESG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ESG</span></a></p>

I recently learned that it can substitute for forgotten tooth paste on a camping trip.</p><p>I didn't know about the label change! Any idea what they edited/took out/added? <a href="https://vis.social/tags/drbronners" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>drbronners</span></a></p>

Incognitim<p>I knew about some of this, but...WOW. Quite an interesting read! And a hopefully a good example of what you can accomplish when you don't sell out! <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DrBronners" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DrBronners</span></a><br><a href="https://www.inc.com/magazine/201204/tom-foster/the-undiluted-genius-of-dr-bronners.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">inc.com/magazine/201204/tom-fo</span><span class="invisible">ster/the-undiluted-genius-of-dr-bronners.html</span></a></p>
