Tähän oli pakko tarttua aiemmin kuin ajattelin, kun pikkusisko laittoi viestiä viikon verran *joka päivä* ja soitti kaksi kertaa... Mutta rakastan tätä lukukokemusta, koska se toi mieleen teiniajan yhteiset fanituksen kohteet siskon kanssa.
Olin ajatellut palaavani ensin alkuperäisen trilogian pariin, mutta onneksi hahmot muistuivat aika hyvin mieleen ilman uudelleenlukuakin. Haymitch on Nälkäpelin hahmoista yksi kiinnostavimpia ja oli hyvä ratkaisu kirjoittaa hänen tarinansa.
Ja kyllähän tähän tarinaan huomasi koukuttuvansa. Kirja tuli kuunneltua muutamassa päivässä. Ehkä joistain juonikuvioista tuli olo (varsinkin areenalla), että ne muistuttivat Katnissin pelin juonikuvioita, mutta sekään ei haitannut tarinaan imeytymistä.
Mutta kirjan loppu... Sydän ja mieli murtui pala kerrallaan.
Onneksi sai nyt purkaa sydäntään siskolle kaikista juonikuvioista muuten en olisi ehkä kestänyt.
Olin lukenut kritiikkiä kirjan käännöksestä ennen kirjan lukemista. Onneksi käännöskukkaset eivät äänikirjassa niin paljoa särähtäneet korviin. Ja se tämän romantasiaksi brändääminen... Voi huoh!
Seuraavaksi on kyllä tartuttava alkuperäiseen trilogiaan ja Balladiin laululinnuista (kun sitä en ole lukenut lainkaan).
