TOV<p>FFmpeg 7.1 codenamed "Péter" was released on September 30, 2024. Major changes include the following:</p><p>- VVC decoder was supported in FFmpeg 7.0. So I looked for a way to package the artwork as an added bonus: BPG, a subset of the <a href="https://bsky.brid.gy/hashtag/HEVC" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#HEVC</a> open video compression standard. <a href="https://bellard.org/bpg/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">bellard.org/bpg/</a></p>
Richard Degenne<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.rxbrad.com/@RxBrad" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>RxBrad</span></a></span> My TV can handle <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/HEVC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HEVC</span></a>, but not the <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Plex" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Plex</span></a> app for that TV.</p><p>So Plex transcodes everything to AVC on the fly. 🤦</p>
