#Journal of a slightly emotional Dutch Pixy 🧚🏼‍♀️ (Monday, 14/04/2025).

I woke before the alarm, and it was still early, as it was a little of an hour before the alarm was set to go off. But I had some weird dreams and I was awake, so I just started my day... The scale wasn't too bad, which was nice. I got dressed, took my meds, prepped Arwen's food, and I took her out. She did what she had to to, and then was eager to head back in, as it was food time. When she was happily eating, I got my bag, said goodbye, and headed to the gym.

I caught up with the social media bits while I enjoyed my protein shake and while I was waiting for the meds to kick in... I started a GoFundMe for then the hardest time of my life will come, and I'll need funds to make sure that I can take Arwen home again... 😢 (gofundme.com/f/AlwaysArwen). It was hard to do, but I know that I'll need the help and it needs to be arranged before the time comes and I'll be a wreck (and I guess I'll need the funds quickly then, as I think they won't do it for free...). Then I got to the seated bike. And, my leg was kind this time, as I even managed 40 minutes. 😊 I enjoyed the massage chair after that. Switched my shoes, and quickly headed back to Arwen.

Washed up, changed clothes, and had brekky. The weather was decent enough, so that was a plus. We had a nice, short, walk. Arwen seemed pleased with the shorter walk. Maybe she was already hoping that we would be able to go to the water side later that day? 😇

I changed clothes and headed to the hometrainer. I managed another 40 minutes. Then I even got a few other exercises in, yay me. I went downstairs, got my laptop, and worked on my journal blog post. I finsiehd all that I could do, so that felt good. Then Arwen wanted some walkies again so we headed out together.

We had a nice walk, and when we got back, we relaxed on the couch for a bit. When it was getting light out, I got Arwen's towel and asked if she'd be interested... Ow my, she was... 🤩 So of course that brought me to shed some tears... We headed to the Herperduin, and I even managed some vids and snaps of her. Just a short walk, with a few splashes. She was tired when we got to Skoosh, but she seemed to be rather happy, so I'll definitely take that! 😁

We headed back home, where I made some food. We relaxed on the couch, while we waited for our friend to text me about Ikea. Around 9, I walked Arwen. She was fortunate, as we saw the neighbor again... 😋 When we walked back, our friend was pulling up, so she hugged the dogs, and then we got ready to head to Ikea.

The drive there was OK enough, but somehow, in a short time, three "lion cars" thought it OK to cut me off... 🤔 My friend wondered if I had a bumper sticker, saying that I hate lions! 😂 The rest of the drive went well, and we got a decent parking spot. We got all that we came for, so that's a plus. When we got back to the car, I was just setting up the navigation, when I heard a car horn. That could not be for me? My car was in neutral, and I was still in my spot. But... That seemed to be the problem! Some bimbo in an OOOO car (as I call them...) really wanted my spot! 🤔 She wanted it so badly, that she was annoyed when she had to move to give me space so that I could head out... 🤔 She was all set up to "get it in", forgetting that Skoosh first had to get out... But I felt so weird! I wasn't doing anything bad, there were plenty of spaces left, but she felt agressive towards me because I didn't vacate the space quickly enough? Ah well...

The drive home went OK and Arwen was glad to see us back. We walked with Arwen, and our friend noticed that Arwen's health was really declining... 😔 When we got back, she headed back home, and I fixed food for Arwen and me.

The weather was nice, so I wanted to be in the garden with my eBook. Arwen joined me in the shade, but at some point, she wanted me to go inside. I told her she could go. But that didn't work. She just lay in the sun, panting heavily, until I got my stuff together and we could both head inside. Guess she really wanted to be with me...

We got ready for walkies with N&B. I got something at Ikea for N, so we took that along. We had a nice walk, and it was warm enough to be enjoyable. Then Arwen and I relaxed a bit, till she told me that she wanted to head out again. So we went for the last walkies before bed, and she did all she needed to do.

I got the bedroom door open again, so Arwen could warn me should she need me... It took a little while to fall asleep. I had a weird dream and woke up, thinking it was time already. But it was still 3½ hours till the alarm. Went to the loo. Slept again for a hour. Woke again, turned around, and after a while I fell asleep again. Around 21:50, still a bit early, I heard Arwen pacing around so I got up and started my day.

The scale was nice. 😊 And when we headed out, Arwen did a biiiiig wee, so I guess she was glad that I got up a bit earlier. So yeah, that's how I started my new day/night.

#Journal of a Dutch Pixy 🧚🏼‍♀️ (Sunday, 13/04/2025).

I woke up an hour before the alarm. I was wide awake, so I started my usual routine. Scale, clothes, meds... Prepping Arwen's food and taking her out to do her business. I got a little tail wag when I went to cuddle her, so of course that teared me up... She's so precious... I fixed her food. And put out the snacks. Got my bag and headed for the gym.

I checked the notifications and social media. When the meds kicked in, I tried to ride the seated bike. I was a tad emotional so that made it a bit harder. After the ride, I enjoyed a massage in the chair. Then I quickly changed my shoes and got ready to head home.

I washed up and got dressed. Enjoyed my brekky. Then Arwen and I got ready for walkies. The weather was rather warm, as it was still 16°C! But there was a promise of rain, finally. It's been ages since we'd seen some rain... But we walked the short round well, and it only started to drizzle when we were close to home.

I felt tired and just wanted to be near Arwen for a while. I wanted to watch some telly, but by accident, the TV stated up the PS5, and I ended up playing some NMS instead. Just doing some silly things... But being on the couch with Arwen at my feet... It was heavenly. 💜

After some time, Arwen wanted out for walkies. So I got my umbrella and we went out for a bit. She did her thing, and then we headed back home. I fixed some food. Then, when it was getting light out, I asked Arwen if she wanted to go to the Herperduin. That was answered with a happy jump, so I got the things and we went to Skoosh.

We didn't walk a long round, as she was a bit tired. And I didn't get any snaps, as the weather wasn't the best. But she had some play time at the water side, and loads of sniffs in the woods... So I recon it was still a succes for both her and me. 😊

When we got back, we headed for the couch and we relaxed with some telly together. Of course, when it was close to 9, Arwen wanted her usual walkies again. And she was lucky, as her friend was just coming around the corner as we headed out. We had a nice walk.

After that, I relaxed a bit with some some more telly. Around 11, Arwen wanted walkies again. But then, as we had just headed out, mum texted me that she was allowed to go home. So we finished the walkies and then headed to the car.

I took Arwen to my dad, and took the parking card for mum. There was plenty of space now so that was a plus. I got the wheelchair and I headed to the floor. I tried to text mum, as I didn't know the room number. When mum remained silent, I just called her. Finally, contact! Haha. Of course we had to wait for a bit before she was all ready and set to go. I wheeled her to the exit, we got to the car, and I took her home. After I had taken the bags up for her, Arwen and I headed back home again.

We had some time to relax and then it was time for walkies already. The weather was weird, one moment it was chilly and wet, and then it was sunny and hot...

We relaxed some more and then we went for a last walk before bedtime. I closed all the curtains in the living room, so that I could have my bedroom door open for Arwen.

It didn't take too long to fall asleep. When I woke up, it was an hour to the alarm, so I just got up and started my day/night. I was greeted by a tail wag again, so teary eyed I hugged her for a great start of the day...

#Journal of a slightly worried Dutch Pixy 🧚🏼‍♀️ (Saturday, 12/04/2025).

I woke once for the loo and then again when my alarm went off. I opened the door to the living room and went to the bathroom. Loo visit and to get on the scale. Then... The smell reached me... Uh ow... I carefully went into the room and sure enough, Arwen had a smelly surprise for me. She was feeling horrible about it, and I felt more sad for her than I did for myself for having to clean it...

First, I quickly took her outside, and then the cleaning began. When that was done, I took my meds and prepared Arwen's food. When all was done, I asked if she wanted out again, just in case. But she wasn't interested, so I headed to the gym, hoping all would go well...

I caught up with social media and all that. I had some lovely messages from sweet friends. When the meds kicked in, I got to the seated bike and I tried to ride a bit. But I didn't feel too good, and it didn't go too well. A ten-minute massage in the chair later, and then I headed back home again.

Asked Arwen again if she wanted out, but she wasn't interested. So I washed up, had brekky, and then we got ready for walkies. The weather was lovely. We walked a short round this time, as I wanted to take Arwen to the Herperduin later that morning.

When we got back, I changed clothes and I rode the seated bike for half an hour. Then I headed downstairs and I enjoyed some telly with Arwen on the couch. We had a short walk after some relaxing. Then I fixed a bit of food. When it was getting light, Arwen and I got to Skoosh and we headed to the Herperduin.

We took it easy, enjoying the morning sounds and the quiet of the early times in the woods. Arwen got all the sniffs and then all the splashes. We had a lovely walk and I think that both Arwen and I enjoyed ourselves a lot.

When we got back, we relaxed for about an hour on the couch. Arwen wanted the normal walkies again and she was lucky, as we saw the neighbor and her dog, with some nomnoms... 😋

My friend wasn't ready to game yet, and the weather was lovely. So I got my chair and sat in the sun with my eBook till my friend was ready to game a bit. 😊 She explained something to me that was new, to me at least, so I tried that as well. Always nice to have something new to try out.

Then it was time to get ready for walkies with the neighbor again. We had a lovely walk in the nice sun... Arwen and I relaxed a bit with some telly, and then we had one last walk before bed time.

I closed all the curtains to darken the living room, so that I could keep my bedroom door open for Arwen, should she need me during the night. It didn't take too long to fall asleep.

I woke once and then again, about an hour before the alarm. So I started my day/night....

#Journal of a (slightly) worried Dutch Pixy 🧚🏼‍♀️ (Friday, 11/04/2025).

I woke several times before the alarm, and then when my alarm finally woke me, and I got up. Did the usual things and cared for Arwen. She was still with me, as she greeted me with a tail wag and that made me sob, of course... She did her things and I did mine, and then I got ready to head to the gym. I wish I could take Arwen with me, as I'm still rather worried about her... 😔

I caught up with my social media while the meds were kicking in. I rode the seated bike for a bit. But I felt so tired, so it didn't go too well. I enjoyed a massage in the chair and then I got ready to head back home again.

Arwen was glad to see me. I washed up, had brekky, and then we got ready for the SniffiVerse™ walkies. The weather was nice and Arwen had loads of sniffs. We walked the short round as I didn't want to put too much pressure on Arwen. When we got back, we relaxed on the couch a bit together. We were both a tad tired I guess.

I got my laptop and worked on my blog a bit. We took it easy this morning, and around 6 we headed out for short walkies again. It was the "green bin" day today, so I decided to get some of the weeds out of the back garden and I got them to the bin before I set that out on the side of the road. It felt like I had done quite a bit, but when it became lighter, there were still laods of weeds left. 😂 They would never all fit in the bin though... But... Bit by bit...

I relaxed a bit by reading my book. Slowly making some progress. And I texted mum, as she was getting ready to head to the hospital for her surgery. Fingers and toes and all that were crossed.

I headed to the supermarket and there I got the groceries that I promised I would get for mum (they had coffee on sale). When I got back, I just relaxed on the couch with Arwen some.

When we headed out for walkies, she saw the neighbor coming out, so she was a very happy gall. Cuddles and nomnoms... Just how she likes it...

When we got back, I watched some telly as I ate some nomnoms myself (no, not the dog's! 😂). When my friend texted that they were getting ready, I booted the purple beast (PS5) and I logged on to NMS. I tried to work some more on my (messy) base, and then my friend came to the chat. She finished up the last few quests of the expedition. Then we grouped up, so I could give her some items I had that she could use. 😊

Dad texted that mum's surgery went well and that she was in recovery. It was faster than they expected, so I guess that's a good thing...

My friend and I had a nice chat and a good time playing, until it was time for walkies with the dogs. N texted me so I had to get ready.

Dad texted me that mum was back in her room, so I was glad that all was going well. The neighbor and I had a nice walk with the dogs. When we were home, Arwen seemed a bit distressed, so I let her out again. Before bedtime er had a little walk so she could do all she needed.

Went to bed and it didn't take too long to fall asleep. Woke once and didn't hear anything, so I went to the loo and then back to bed. The the alarm woke me. I opened the door and went to the bathroom. And then... The smell came to my nose!

I quickly got dressed, turned on the lights, to find Arwen had a smelly prezzie for me. First I took her outside and then I got to cleaning. Arwen seemed so sorry about it and I just told her that it's OK. I recon she felt more bad about it than I felt about cleaning it.

After that, I got my meds and Arwen's food. I asked her if she wanted out again but she only wanted the snacks. So I headed to Skoosh and to really start the usual part of my day/night.
