This Is My Glasgow

The clock above the main entrance of Charing Cross Mansions in Glasgow sculpted by W.B. Rhind. On either side of the clock are figures representing Spring (left) and Autumn (right), while above it are figures of Commerce and Industry. The clock face itself is surrounded by Zodiac signs, and below it the bearded face of Father Time emerges from the stone work. All in all, a rather beautiful clock filled with a lot of symbolism.

Salut Qlub,

J'espère que vous aurez une belle journée pleine de lumière ! C'est mon dada jouer avec la lumière ces temps cis. J'ai eu l'idée de mettre une chandelle derrière ce petit coeur. L'effet est impressionnant le soir mais la photo ne sort pas bien. Il faut imaginer un immense coeur qui se projette sur le plafond et les murs. Il est aussi petit sur la table que grand sur la projection.

N'oubliez pas de rire ajd!

Sur la photo un chandelier pour lampion fait en acier en forme de coeur. La chandelle est derrière. Le coeur est composé de rebuts de métal divers, boulons, vis, bolts, etc...
Le même petit coeur déposé sur une table au soleil. Son ombre est magique!

Wrapped up all my commercial projects and final mirror world class, along with working on a new hanging chandelier sculpture with @alifeeney . The stick sculpture runs a #webcam server with GPIO controls so that anyone can view and interact with the sculpture from anywhere in the world.

It's website is down currently, as it's the sculpture is my minivan with me as I drive cross country. I visited some old friends in Corning last night, and am staying with an exceptional neon bender who bent a lot of work for Bruce Nauman in Chicago tonight.

My show, "Embracing Fallibility" opens along with my "Mind Benders" class at FOCI, in Minneapolis in a few days. Until then, I will be driving a bunch listening to radio drama's and chatting with students as a visiting artist at UW Madison.

Oh it's hectic, but it's nice to be on the road again - the voice an stories of Joe Frank keeping me company

Another Juyon piece of glass she mirrored. The bubble was heated, and sucked in- leaving 5 trails of glass leading to the upper square ring, and membranes of solid glass left behind. Lots of other silvered glass on the cart in the background

The statue of Mahatma Gandhi on Churchill-laan was created by sculptor Karel Gomes and placed in 1️⃣9️⃣9️⃣0️⃣.

Its location is symbolic, as Churchill and Gandhi were political opponents. Churchill once called Gandhi a ‘half-naked fakir’ but later sent his condolences after Gandhi crossed over to the other side. 👼

The statue shows a humble Gandhi,walking in a dhoti and sandals, holding a staff and a book. A colorful stone pattern leading to the statue symbolizes the unity of opposites he sought during his life. ☮️✝️✡️☪️🕉️☸️💟🤟

J'espère qu'il fera beau dans votre tête 💃

Souvent on me demande si je fais fondre l'acier pour le modeler. On me demande aussi si j'utilise des moules. La réponse aux 2 questions est non. Je plie le métal à froid (masse et enclume) et je monte mes structures à partir d'un mauvais dessin 2D, dans les airs.

J'oublie de prendre des photos mais j'avais documenté ma Férale.
