I wish somebody could tell me both the artist who created this sweet picture and who wrote this story. I will credit it the moment you can.

An injured crow with tears in its eyes sits on a branch facing a tiny sparrow who looks very concerned.

The beginning of the story tells how the crow was injured in a windstorm, but couldn't get the attention of other passing birds.

Finally, a tiny sparrow offers to help. It brings drops of water and builds a shelter for the crow so it can rest and recover.

The crow wonders why the sparrow would help, and the little bird answers that he wouldn't want to be passed by if HE needed help.

Finally, the crow recovers and can fly once more. All of a sudden, he sees a hawk making to attack the sparrow who was so kind to him, and chases him away.

The crow and the sparrow realize that each has saved the other.

The moral is: Kindness isn't measured by the size of your wings, and a heart can be big even in the smallest chest.

Nature's Minimalist

The plumage of chipping sparrows (Spizella passerina) provides excellent camouflage. In the original photo of this bird, I had to carefully search to spot it among the bare branches of the tree. At this time of year, these birds are abundant, but in the coming weeks, they will migrate back to the north.

It's in a #blink of the eye the sun climbs over the horizon in the #morning. It is an #icy_landscape still very cold with 3.2F/-16C at night but you can already feel the #powerofthesun. Spring will arrive soon. The #sparrows are already checking out their nests from last year. A new cycle of life will soon begin.
