I am glad that I could entertain some of you with my toots about my bike-train trip from Sweden to Austria and back.

All in all, I bicycled 700 km with the #Brompton this time. There were four days of all-day riding; the average distance for these days was 92 km. I carried 18 kg of gear in my two bags.

I am signing off for a month now; I plan to do another bike-train trip to Austria then in order to hunt for some Easter eggs.

I had a smooth train ride back to Stockholm. One strange thing, though: The long-distance train ride from Hamburg to Copenhagen starts with a ridiculous 30-minute commuter train ride from Hamburg Central Station to Pinneberg, a suburb station with heavy construction work and hoards of commuters in the morning. I found myself in the middle of busy morning commuters who looked with astonishment at my gear. Luckily, I had a good sleep, 3 coffees, and stayed calm.

Last day on my seven-days bicycle tour from Vienna in Austria to Bamberg in Germany. Again, like on all days before, mild and sunny spring weather with temperatures up to 18°C. I was really lucky this time. Several days I was riding in shorts and T-shirt. Now I am on my way back to Sweden with train.

Yesterday, I spent the evening with Ebbenork (@radlpit). I very much enjoyed being out with him.

In Nuremberg, I also visited my old friend Hans Sachs, born 1494. When I was a student, I attended a course on operas at the Graz Music University. At that time, I was interested in rock music only. A gifted teacher showed me the beauty of operas. We studied the opera "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg", and I fell in love with one of its characters, Hans Sachs.

A rainy but happy new bike day! I rode my Brompton to pick up a Tern HSD from the shop. It hauled everything back effortlessly, even through our hilly and steep Phinney Ridge neighborhood.

Today, I will arrive in Nuremberg. I've had six days of sunshine and warm temperatures from Vienna all the way to Nuremberg. What a pleasure this was! Many plants are ready to jump from winter to spring, although this definitely is too early in the year.

I have typically bicycled between 90 and 100 km per day; I am kind of proud since it is only the first tour after the winter break.
