AutHere is my journey to make a name patch. The top had a lot of gaps between the feathers and while it gives an outline it wasn't the look I was going for. I also double embroidered part which made it stick out more but also wasn't what I was trying to do.Second attempt (middle) is better, but still gaps and the middle got messed up from puckering and some other issues.Third attempt I made a bunch of changes from what I had learned, redesigned the center, routed jump stitches, and then switched to orange so I wouldn't use all my silver thread and I really like it. I might just slap velcro on the back of that one and wear it.The key with any learning experience is to examine the failures and experiment to fix it. Starting from scratch with this design I am proud of how it turned out in the end.
