All of my emulation stuff doesn't work the way I wanted. My dolphin emulator won't load my controler even though I have a profile for it, my PCSX2 won't even load games when I click on them, and my retro arch doesn't even talk, ugh, and all I wanted to do was play Tekken. #Gaming, #Blind, #Emulation

New in Fedora: Running x86 programs on ARM systems - Fedora Magazine
"To make it possible to run x86 programs via emulation, we leverage several tools, each solving a specific problem:
FEX, a fast emulator that can run x86 and x86-64 programs on ARM Linux hosts muvm, a tool that can run another program inside a microVM binfmt-dispatcher, a simple dispatcher that can dynamically pick the best emulator to use when an x86 or x86-64 program is started With this setup, when a non-native program is run, the kernel invokes binfmt-dispatcher via the binfmt_misc interface. The dispatcher picks the best emulator to use. This is based on the program, the system it’s running on, and its own configuration. "

Today I'm playing Demon Front, another game from IGS (Taiwan) for their PGM arcade board.

It's clearly inspired by Metal Slug, although calling it a clone might be a bit unfair. It has some significant gameplay differences (level up shields, special attacks), and looks like a good game on its own right.

I guess Demon Front was already proper #retro in its day, having come out in 2002, well into the 3D era (the PS2 was ~2 years old by then). 🧊

Wait...so #Nintendo are stating they're going to be charging $90 USD for the 'full Breath of The Wild experience' for the Switch 2?

A game from 8 years ago, and two console generations ago...is being sold at that price?! And their 'next gen' addition is like Google Maps for BoTW?

Typical of Nintendo. They had a solid announcement and they're continuing to step on rakes ever since. I'll just continue with #emulation

No thanks!

There are a couple of systems I really want to be able to emulate in the future. One of them is iOS 6 (or any version prior to this) I have been looking for years for a disk image or installer, but have never found one. It was my favorite mobile operating system.

Amiberry is an Amiga emulator based on the current WinUAE version, while its little brother Amiberry-lite is based on WinUAE 4.4 and is intended for slower hardware - up to the Raspberry Pi 4. Version 7.0.8 of Amiberry is now available, Amiberry-lite has arrived at version 5.8.8. Both versions now also support the new AmigaOS 3.2.3 ROMs
