#flippydrive

Just got my Flippydrive for my Gamecube. Very easy to install. I'm still waiting until I get an SD extender to screw in the 4 Gamebit screws at the bottom of the cube, but outside of that the process of getting this thing installed was really easy and it seems to work well
Still gotta get the SD card set up but when that's done this cube will be unstoppable

@flaxless@aus.social thanks so much for the super helpful pointers, esp on the bit about using it while not having to be stuck with JP-region games.

For GameCube, I did find
#FlippyDrive which seems like a decent option which would allow me to still play JP CDs + ROMs off of an SD card without the need to solder or perform any mod that couldn't easily be reversed.

Still looking into a similar type of deal for SNES - being able to play off of the original medium (CD/cartridge) and also digital copies of ROMs seems like the perfect balance cos I'd like to avoid hoarding more space than I already am with more games lol.

Stavo guardando questa interessante modifica #FlippyDrive per il #gamecube :

- non richiede saldature 😍
- costa relativamente poco (~50€ compresa spedizione in Italia)
- permette di mantenere il drive ottico
- in futuro potrebbe permettere di collegare dispositivi bluetooth alla console
