i’ve said for years that #tesla will eventually regret its ditching of #LIDAR in favor of a camera-only approach. in fact, the very day that news came out, i basically counted tesla out when it comes to self-driving cars. we are now seeing the rotten fruits of this decision begin to grow, with LIDAR equipment costs plummeting and competition from Waymo, which has been way ahead of tesla as far as full self driving and robotaxis go for years now. and it’s only getting worse, with #BYD offering basic (still better than tesla’s) self-driving features for free while also offering LIDAR-enhanced models for an increase in price that is less than the cost of upgrading to the joke that is “Full Self-Driving” offered by Tesla. hell, you could buy a BYD with better technology for the price of the joke of a feature offered by TSLA. it’s a joke. and i love to see it. i feel bad for the employees, who are undoubtedly very intelligent. but i guess we’ll just have to see what happens “next year” 🙄

People keep putting fake walls in front of Teslas

In the tesla fanboy's video, the Tesla Model Y with confirmed FSD (in this case, version 12.5.4.2) didn’t fare better than Rober’s — he had to manually stop the vehicle before it crashed into the fake wall that, to my human eyes, doesn’t look quite as convincing.
