apgarcia
i'm thinking that a project called something like "LFS Redux" might be beneficial to the community. the idea would be to provide a live cd or virtual machine that someone can boot up, along with a guided tour of the system. cuz with LFS you spend a lot of time compiling stuff, just watching paint dry, and I don't think that part of it is very edifying.

#SysAdmin #LinuxFromScratch

The latter I can absolutely agree with, but I can also understand KDE's move because being a non-profit, it needs more permanent donors who don't just donate a large amount at once, but smaller amounts multiple times.)
(That being said, if I were them, I'd put the "notification" in the settings, under the window header, with a dismiss button. If a user dismisses it, it appears 2-3 months later. This way it wouldn't be that annoying but at the same time it's also more noticeable. What do you think about this? Let me know in the comments below.)

Ubuntu gets new Security Center and Prompting Client tools, former is for managing Snap permissions, latter is for AppArmor permissions:
https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2024/09/ubuntus-new-security-center-readies-stable-release
(Canonical: Hey Flatseal!
