Can't beat 684 pages, and until now haven't bothered to download the #manual for #ShotCut shotcut.org/ as I found it fairly intuitive. It only has 211 pages, but the #software has suited my needs under both Windows and Linux over the last eight years or so. (It has fallen over on when running Linux on my Chromebook however, but as that only has a 10Gb allocated for all my Linux apps, it's not entirely surprising.)

Wish I could find a manual for this thing. Or service instructions or anything.

Not much out there. It has hypoid gear oil in it, which I determined by sniffing and rubbing (thick fluid with sulfur smell) and there is what is probably a fill level bolt, but it's all guesswork.

There's a few Japanese stickers but they're mostly safety warnings, telling you to not stick your arm into the rotating blades, yo.

A blue Iseki RA 1360 Rototiller from Japan. It's detached from the tractor and parked on a plank. It has two guards on either side, a thick central shaft and on the far side a chain drive to the lower shaft, which isn't in the picture here. Two silvery rods with springs on them hold the rear flap door down.

Really digging the efficient minimalism that is evident in only 2 years of ASUS improvements. This is the cover of the Quick Start Guide (the only manual included) and, okay, aside from a dumb amount of trees used for trailing disclaimers, legal jargon, and warning you against eating the lithium button battery... aside from that stuff that nobody EVER reads (that they're probably legally obliged to have there), this page is the only diagram you have of the board as a whole and where to put things. There are a couple of more specific guides for how to attach the more complicated plugs, sockets, and peripherals inside, but no more than 6 pages TOTAL. It's mostly clear IKEA-level diagrams and as little text as possible. The last build had CHAPTERS of pages for this stuff. They've really cut the fat, and I heartily applaud them for it. So clean! Main diagram ON THE GLOSSY COVER = GENIUS. Need more detail? Scan a QR code. Top marks, ASUS.

It has a QR code in the bottom left corner for online support, and in the center, taking up most of the space, is the motherboard socket layout diagram, with colour-coded annotations and crisp white high-contrast print. The usual brand colours of black, white, and red are present and the layout is tasteful. My hot-pink polished nails are visible also, the booklet on my white desk above the hardwood floor.

Wow, ok, people really don’t appreciate it when an argument is won by RTFM-ing the chapter and verse of instructions that specifically deal with that factor.

Not my fault you wrong doe; maybe next time say “I’m not sure I’ll look into that” and then I’ll slip you the answer and the implementation steps in a less, er, public setting.
